PHA 550 - Pharmacology And Pharmacotherapeatics I

Description: This is the first course in a two-course series. It will focus on the general principles of pharmacology and the application of these principles to pharmacotherapeutics and patient care situations. Students will learn the classes of pharmaceuticals with a focus on the mechanisms of action, common side effects, adverse reactions and interactions. At the conclusion of the two-course series, students will have been introduced to commonly prescribed medications organized using a systems-based model. Letter grade only.
