Description: Supervised clinical experiences working with individuals with mental health and/or psychiatric diagnoses, simulations, and clinical conferences provide a variety of opportunities to apply theory into practice with this population. The emphasis is placed upon using nursing strategies for promoting, maintaining, and restoring mental health utilizing therapeutic communication and nursing interventions for patients along the mental health/disorder continuum.
