ARH 220 - Feminism And Visual Culture


Description: This course explores how various forms of visual representation contribute to our notions of sex- and gender-based identity and their intersections with race, class, ethnicity and nationality. Representations from art, film, video, print media and other cultural forms will be viewed and analyzed within the context of feminist critical and theoretical frameworks. Letter grade only.
