ME 523 - Aero-systems Dynamics

Description: Theory and applications of the dynamics of fixed-wing aircraft. Introduction to aerodynamic forces. Development of static longitudinal stability with considerations to aircraft design. Development dynamics equations of motion, stability derivatives, control derivatives, state-space system modeling, and simulation of system response. Introduction to aircraft controls and multi-degree of freedom systems dynamics including quad-rotor vehicles. Co-convened with ME 423. Letter grade only. Course fee required.
