NAU 180 - Academic Success For International Students


Description: This is a course designed to support international students in their first semester of NAU coursework. Students will explore approaches to academics and learning unique to the US university setting, life skills, study skills and strategies for learning language. Peer coaches are assigned to each student in the course to provide 1:1 assistance to students in finding academic resources and support, creating a personalized study plan, connecting to campus social activities and programs, answering questions, and applying the information and skills learned in class. Letter grade only.
