Description: Level 4 is academic English, and students acquire knowledge and demonstrate language abilities for academic purposes. This level provides students opportunities to engage with adapted academic reading, writing, listening and speaking. Students respond critically to academic texts while developing their vocabulary knowledge. Students in level 4 take classes in reading, writing, listening, speaking, and content-based instruction. This course is developmental in nature and does not count toward a student's GPA or graduation requirements. May be repeated up to 3 times.
