The course investigates specific legislation such as the American Indian Religious Freedom Act (AIRFA), Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), and their associated regulations. The course reviews the concept of Traditional Cultural Properties and guidance for their interpretation and management as provided by National Register Bulletin 38.
