Description: This required course is the introductory clinical course for the Accelerated nursing student that is taken concurrently with NUR 357 for the practice of basic nursing skills, health histories, and physical assessments. Using the nursing process, students will acquire and practice critical reasoning skills in the planning of patient care. Upon completion of this course, students will have mastered foundational knowledge, patient assessment, medication administration, and fundamental skills and attitudes required for the student to implement and monitor selected nursing interventions and technologies in a basic clinical setting. Letter grade only.
