NUR 322L - Fundamentals Of Nursing Practice Clinical

Description: Building on co-requisite fundamentals courses, this is a required clinical practicum for development and practice of basic nursing skills including the psychomotor skill development needed to implement safe and effective patient centered care. Emphasis is placed on basic nursing skills, completing health histories and physical assessments, and recognizing expected findings in patients in the clinical setting, usually a long-term care facility. Upon completion of this course, students will have mastered a foundational understanding of the nursing process, basic nursing skills, basic patient assessment, beginning medication administration, a beginning understanding of global health, and an introduction to body systems and functions. Letter grade only.
