PT 705 - Patient Management 2

Description: This course details the patient/client management framework applied to patients with cardiovascular, pulmonary, and lymphatic conditions. Students will develop assessment skills that enable them to identify acute and chronic cardiovascular, pulmonary, and lymphatic impairments across the lifespan. Students will apply exercise physiology principles to create exercise prescriptions across the continuum of health states and learn to develop comprehensive management plans. Students will begin to understand their role in lifestyle management, including the role of nutrition in physical therapy practice. Letter grade only.
