PT 709 - Residential Pt Immersion 3

Description: This residential immersion course integrates Movement Sciences 3, Practice Management 3, and Contemporary PT Practice 3 content with information from previous semesters. The emphasis is clinical learning and the application of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor competencies for patients/clients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions. This course further develops clinical reasoning, evidence-informed patient/client management skills, and specific interventions for impairments and activity/participation limitations for patients/clients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions. Upon completing this course, learners will demonstrate understanding and awareness of the importance of patient/client safety in preparation for clinical education. Students must complete mock patient examinations, evaluations, and treatment plans using acceptable clinical reasoning in the summative assessments. Letter grade only.
