PT 710 - Patient Management 4

Description: This course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles of physical therapist interventions for individuals across the lifespan. Emphasis is placed on atypical motor development and aging. Learners will apply the patient/client management and ICF models to patients/clients across the lifespan with conditions that impact the movement system. Content will address the management of complex cases, including patients with limb loss, wounds, dementia, mental illness, and pelvic health conditions. The course will cover the physical, physiological, and psychosocial aspects of health and disability. Learners will explore the unique challenges and opportunities associated with these patient populations and develop the clinical skills and knowledge required to evaluate, plan, and implement interventions for patients across the lifespan. Letter grade only.
