This certificate can a useful companion to a variety of majors and gives students the opportunity to explore this area without the commitments associated with a four-year degree.
This plan will not be available to new students after Summer 2019

An undergraduate certificate may be earned as part of a bachelor's degree or as a stand-alone certificate.
To receive an undergraduate certificate (at least 15 units) at Northern Arizona University, you must complete a planned group of courses from one or more subject matter areas with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0.
In addition to University Requirements:
- Complete individual plan requirements.
Students may be able to use some courses to meet more than one requirement. Contact your advisor for details.

Students in the Interdisciplinary Studies - Community Development and Sustainability degree program may not elect to complete the Certificate in Community Development and Sustainability.
