This undergraduate certificate is designed to provide students with the theoretical foundation and practical skills to advance the conservation of biodiversity and management of natural resources in developing countries.
This plan will not be available to new students after Summer 2022

An undergraduate certificate may be earned as part of a bachelor's degree or as a stand-alone certificate.
To receive an undergraduate certificate (at least 15 units) at Northern Arizona University, you must complete a planned group of courses from one or more subject matter areas with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0.
In addition to University Requirements:
- Complete individual plan requirements.
Students may be able to use some courses to meet more than one requirement. Contact your advisor for details.

Certificate Requirements

Take the following 15 units with a Grade of "C" or better in each course:
Select three courses from the following, with the approval of your advisor (9 units):- ENV 440
- FOR 230, FOR 360, FOR 381, FOR 441, FOR 493
- PHI 331
- POS 120, POS 361, POS 380
- One course from: POS 366, POS 370, POS 374
- PRM 300
