This minor is designed for students wishing to complement their major program of study with practical foundational principles in construction.
The construction industry provides an opportunity for a challenging and highly rewarding career. Emerging technology and other complexities of the modern construction project requires professionals from a variety of disciplines to be successful.
If you are considering a career in the rapidly growing construction industry or expect to work in a closely related field such as engineering, business or design, this minor will provide you with the basic concepts and language of construction to help you realize your goals.
A minor is earned in conjunction with a bachelor's degree.
To receive a minor (18 - 24 units) at Northern Arizona University, you must complete a planned group of courses from one or more subject matter areas with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0. At least 12 units of the minor must be unique to that minor and not applied to any other minor.

No more than fifty percent of the units used to satisfy minor requirements may be used to satisfy major requirements.

Purpose Statement
This minor in Construction Management is designed for students wishing to complement their major program of study with practical foundational principles in construction.
This Minor will provide students with an exposure to basic means, methods, materials, processes, teams and regulations associated with a construction project.
This minor will help prepare students from engineering, business, interior design, computer science and other allied fields to pursue careers in or related to the construction industry.
