The project management certificate offers students an opportunity to gain specific career skills and perspectives to better equip them to compete for in-demand high-paying jobs across several industries. Students gain the knowledge and skills to effectively manage and execute projects on time, on budget, and within scope. The program will start with a basic project management simulation exercise and conclude with a more robust project management simulation exercise that will integrate the skills learned, including the scope of the project, scheduling, budgeting, change management, risk management, agile project management, and contract and procurement fundamentals.
Project manger in business, government, non-governmental organizations, or pursuit of a graduate degree in business, law, or public administration.
To receive an undergraduate certificate (at least 15 units) at Northern Arizona University, you must complete a planned group of courses from one or more subject matter areas with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0.

Purpose Statement

The certificate prepares students to fill the current and future demand for project managers and business managers in the workforce.
Student Learning Outcomes
This certificate may be pursued and completed concurrently with a degree program or as a stand-alone certificate. Federal financial aid cannot be used if the certificate is completed as a stand-alone certificate.
