College of Arts and Letters2015-2016
Department of Global Languages and Cultures
Students in this minor gain proficiencies in Arabic language and an exposure to the Arabic world’s role in the world’s culture and literature.
What Can I Do with a Minor in Arabic?
You choose a minor with your advisor's guidance to complement your major and your personal academic goals. You may be required to complete a minor in a field different than your major.
You may use the same course or courses to satisfy requirements in both a major and a minor as long as at least fifty percent of the units in the minor have a different prefix than the major. You may also use the same course or courses to meet both liberal studies and minor requirements as long as you meet all requirements for the minor.
A minor is earned in conjunction with a bachelor's degree.
To receive a minor (18 to 24 units) at Northern Arizona University, you must complete a planned group of courses from one or more subject matter areas with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0. At least 12 units of the minor must be unique to that minor and not applied to any other minor.
In addition to University Requirements:
- Complete individual plan requirements.
Please note that you may be able to use some courses to meet more than one requirement. Contact your advisor for details.
|Minimum Units for Completion||19|
Take at least 19 units with a Grade of "C" or better in each course, from the following:
- ARB 101, ARB 102, ARB 201, ARB 202 (16 units)
