The Criminal Justice Administration certificate allows current or aspiring police leaders to gain the necessary skills to effectively lead in the current police environment. Courses focus on connecting leadership theory to practice, employment law, contemporary criminal justice issues, cultural diversity, and ethics.
To effectively lead in law enforcement, it is essential to have a solid practitioner background and an understanding of core leadership skills. To receive an undergraduate certificate (at least 15 units) at Northern Arizona University, you must complete a planned group of courses from one or more subject matter areas with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0.
