What Can I Do with a Bachelor of Science in Education in Career and Technical Education - 90-30?

This degree is designed for those who have occupational work experience or have completed occupational courses at a community college and are seeking a Bachelor degree. Students typically transfer a block of relevant, qualified courses from two-year colleges and/or combine with occupational experience credit.

Many students who pursue this degree are already CTE certified in the State of Arizona. Such students pursue this degree to meet the "highly qualified" standard or for salary advancement. This degree is also a good fit for those with career goals outside of public schools -  in business, industry, trade schools, or training settings

Purpose Statement

The purpose of the Bachelor of Education, Career and Technical Education program, is to integrate occupation specific knowledge and skills with current career and technical education theory and practice to create professionals who can train others in those occupations. The program is geared to promote professionalism and continual growth and development by combining professional and workplace knowledge with the fundamentals of career and technical education. CTE graduates will have the knowledge and ability to (a) assume a role for career and technical education within society, (b) plan, develop, deliver, and assess instruction in an occupationally specific area, and (c) integrate current technological and safety practices into the instructional environment of the classroom or workplace.
