The W. A. Franke College of Business2018-2019

Economics, Minor

This plan will not be available to new students after Summer 2019

Economics is the study of how individuals and businesses make choices regarding how to use our scarce resources. This minor brings together concepts from business and the social sciences as a way to provide a challenging program for students in both their professional and  personal lives.

What Can I Do with a Minor in Economics?

If you are looking to gain analytical tools and skills, this minor can help by supplementing your major. It will help you get ready to work in the private or public sectors. With an educational background in economics, you can leverage your understanding of domestic and global economic issues  to help make critical organizational decisions.

Pursuing a career in economics can lead you to the areas of corporate mergers, tax reform, economic growth, international relations, and environmental issues. You will enjoy small classes that incorporate current hot topics to illustrate how theory is put into practice in the real business world.
