What Can I Do with a Certificate in Teaching Introductory Community College Mathematics?

The Teaching Introductory Community College Mathematics Graduate Certificate is an 18 credit hour program that is intended to prepare students to be eligible to teach developmental and introductory mathematics at or below the community college 100 level. Generally, a master’s degree in some discipline is also required for community college teaching. Requirements for teaching appointments at community colleges vary. Those interested in such an appointment should investigate requirements at particular colleges of interest to determine necessary requirements.
