PHA 601 - Medical Ethics


Description: This course explores contemporary issues and frameworks in medical ethics through critical analysis of ethical theories, case-based applications, and emerging challenges in modern healthcare. Emphasis is placed on applying ethical principles to complex clinical, organizational, and policy contexts, including patient autonomy, justice, resource allocation, digital health, artificial intelligence, and interprofessional collaboration. The course prepares doctoral-level PAs to lead with integrity, advocate for ethical practice environments, and contribute to shaping equitable and just healthcare systems. Letter grade only.
