BIO 465C - Interventions To Mitigate And Prevent Chronic Diseases


Description: This course will cover pathogenesis and pathophysiology of chronic diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer's disease and focus on current research related to interventions including exercise, nutrition, nutritional supplements, and pharmacological therapies. Additionally the topics of aging, obesity, chronic inflammation, and oxidative stress will be addressed. Co-convened with BIO 565. Letter grade only. Course fee required.
