HIS 483 - Resistance, Rebellion And Revolution In Latin America And The Carribean


Description: This course explores the historical roots of social movements and political violence in Latin American and the Caribbean. The focus examines the significance and individual experiences of peasants, workers, and identity-based alliances in rebellions and revolutions. Topics include dictatorships and democracy, modernity and underdevelopment, and dirty wars and guerilla movements. Letter grade only.
