Educational Research
Description: Theory and methods for analyzing qualitative data. Emphasis is placed on working with data, thinking critically about data analysis and interpretation, and developing a decision-making framework. The course conveys a working knowledge of analytic induction, grounded theorizing, narrative and discourse analysis, and a reflexive analysis of the politics of interpretation and representation - including postmodern challenges to researcher authority. Letter grade only.
