Description: Course draws from the exciting world of judgment and decision making research. We focus on experimental studies of human decision-making processes, with a special interest in understanding how research data challenge the assumption that people make decisions as rational agents. We explore, for example, how choices are affected by mental shortcuts, misweighting of factors, framing effects, and misconceptions regarding chance/probability. Letter grade only.
