Description: This course introduces students to social ecological system theory and research. The course begins with theoretical approaches before moving on to how to apply these approaches to better understand real world environmental challenges. Case studies are used in the second half of the term to ground the theories and approaches explored in the first half. Students will conduct a final project that uses an interdisciplinary approach to explore a specific social ecological system. Cross-listed with ENV 562 and GSP 526. Letter grade only.
