FOR 569 - Forest Genetics


Description: The course introduces the main principles of quantitative genetics and genomics to understand the basis and application of forest genetics/genomics science. The main emphasis of this course is in the study of complex traits and application to breeding; and in the adaptation to climate in forest trees. This course combines lectures, computer labs, and discussions of important scientific literature. Undergraduate-level genetics and statistics are recommended but not mandatory. Letter grade only.
