Description: This graduate seminar will examine sociological perspectives on health inequalities in the United States, with an emphasis on the intersectional concepts of race, class, gender, and social inequalities. In particular, it focuses on access to quality health care by working-class and people-of-color population groups to contextualize the social and political causes and effects of inequalities, environmental racism, and disasters in the U.S. health care system.
