Description: This course provides an overview and examination of historical and contemporary issues related to Diné bilingual education. The course will cover relevant issues related to the state of the Diné language today such as the hegemony of English, lingua-racism in schools; the effects of NCLB on Diné language; and the challenges and promises of past and current Diné bilingual education and language revitalization models.
