PRM 455 - Global Recreational Therapy Perspectives


Description: Global Recreational Therapy Perspectives is a variable 1-3-credit course intended for students to explore recreational therapy and inclusive recreation services abroad. Students will learn about the host country's culture and current recreational therapy and inclusive recreation approaches prior to departure. They will then observe and evaluate recreational therapy programs and inclusive recreation services in the assigned country. By completing this experience, students will identify specific global competencies applicable to recreational therapy and inclusive recreation practices. This course is open to all majors. Co-convened with PRM 555. Letter grade only. May be repeated for up to 6 units of credit.
