- ENG 105 - Critical Reading And Writing In The University Community
- Writing skills for completing university coursework. Fulfills the liberal studies requirement for English composition. Letter grade only. Course fee required.
- MAT 110 - College Algebra
- Algebraic operations; simplifying expressions; functions; graphs; linear, absolute value, power, polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic functions; equations and inequalities; systems of equations; sequences and series. Please note that if you have previously earned credit in either MAT 112 or 135, you may not earn credit in MAT 110. Letter grade only.
- MAT 114 - Quantitative Reasoning
- Contemporary quantitative methods, especially descriptive statistics, elementary probability, examples of statistical inference, linear and exponential models of growth and decay, and applicable discrete models. Fulfills liberal studies foundation requirement. Letter grade only. Course fee required.
- MAT 119 - Finite Mathematics
- Concepts, techniques and applications of systems of linear equations, geometric linear programming, mathematics of finance, combinatorics and probability. Fulfills liberal studies mathematics foundation requirement. Letter grade only.
- MAT 125 - Precalculus Mathematics
- Concept of function; graphs; absolute value, linear, polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions, systems of equations, analytic geometry. This course will fulfill either the liberal studies Mathematics foundation requirement or a Science Applied Science liberal studies distribution block requirement. If you have already fulfilled your Mathematics foundation requirement, this course will fulfill a Science Applied Science liberal studies distribution block requirement. Please note that if you have credit in the previous courses MAT 112, MAT 120 or MAT 135, you may not receive credit for MAT 125. Letter grade only.

- Concepts, techniques, and applications of integration, differential equations, Taylor polynomials, infinite series. This course will fulfill either the liberal studies Mathematics foundation requirement or a Science Applied Science liberal studies distribution block requirement. - Mathematical principles and processes underlying mathematics instruction in grades K-8; geometry and measurement; statistics and probability. Letter grade only. Course fee required.
- MAT 185 - Functions, Applications, And Explorations
- This course is an in-depth study of topics in secondary school mathematics. Emphasis is on modeling with linear, exponential, trigonometric, and logistic functions: curve fitting; discrete and continuous models. Other topics include parametric and polar equations, linear and matrix algebra, regression aspects of statistics, and growth and decay exponential models. Letter grade only.
- MAT 238 - Calculus III
- Vector functions and multidimensional calculus; partial derivatives, gradients, optimization, multiple integrals, parametric curves and surfaces, vector calculus, line integrals, flux integral, and vector fields. Letter grade only.
- MAT 239 - Differential Equations
- Solutions of first-order differential equations, nth-order linear equations, systems of linear differential equations, series solutions. Letter grade only.
- STA 275 - Statistical Analysis
- A calculus-based applied statistics course. Descriptive statistics; discrete and continuous random variables; probability distributions including binomial, Poisson, normal, and t-distributions; one- and two-sample hypothesis tests and confidence intervals; simple linear regression and correlation. This course will fulfill either the liberal studies Mathematics foundation requirement or a Science Applied Science liberal studies distribution block requirement. If you have already fulfilled your Mathematics foundation requirement, this course will fulfill a Science Applied Science liberal studies distribution block requirement. Credit cannot be earned in both STA 270 and STA 275. Letter grade only.
