Purpose Statement

“If you don’t understand people, you don’t understand business” - it’s that simple. BSBA management students will become skilled leaders that understand themselves and others and can manage change.

Management students will learn and develop leadership skills – the ability to understand, lead, manage, and motivate themselves and others.

Management students will learn and develop communication skills – the ability to leverage effective oral and written communication skills based on their situation, context and audience.

Management students will learn and develop teamwork skills – including effective collaboration, partnering and group dynamic skills and learn to build team culture.

Management students will learn and develop critical analysis skills – the ability to scan environments, identify opportunities, create innovative solutions, and make decisions. 

Taken together, the skills described above prepare students to perform the managerial role within an organization with particular emphasis on preparing students for early career success.
