Service Industry Management, Undergraduate Certificate

NAU Yavapai

Extended Campuses

The service-industry sector continues to grow in the U.S., as well as world-wide. In fact, globally, the service sector is estimated to account for more than three-fifths of global gross domestic product.

The service-industry sector includes managerial opportunities in broad areas, including establishments that provide personal services (such as beauty, coaching, and home-staging), lodging, business-support, repair, training, food-service, and amusement/recreation services. It also includes medical, legal, communications, engineering, banking, and other professional services—and beyond that—to non-profit membership organizations, government agencies, and many other miscellaneous services.

The goal of this certificate program is to prepare students to utilize strategies and resources to enhance the functioning, profitability, competitiveness, and consistency-of-delivery in service-industry enterprises.
